Pelican Landing

Created by Westinghouse Communities of Naples, Pelican Landing encompasses 2,365 acres, bordered by US 41, Spring Creek, and Estero Bay. It is conveniently located between Fort Myers and Naples, with easy access to either area and to Bonita Springs. Homeowners are encouraged to use existing vegetation in their landscape plans and to supplement with native plants as much as possible. By working with nature, our homeowners enjoy a community that blends with its natural setting.

SPORTS: (Tennis, Pickleball and Bocce) Twelve state-of-the-art tennis courts are available in Pelican Landing, seven days a week from 8am to 10pm. Inside the tennis center, players can find a pro shop, sign up for different lesson programs or club events (resident socials, tournaments and league plays) and speak to the experienced tennis professional that manages the center. The tennis center also accommodates the Director of Tennis, a USPTA-certified professional; his assistant; staff and a registration desk. All the rules of the Tennis Center are there to ensure fairness and level competition among all teams.

The extremely popular game of pickle ball can be played daily from 8am to sunset (max 8pm). It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. For more Pickleball rules and approved Paddles, visit pelicanlanding.com. The Bocce courts must be reserved for individuals to play and they are open daily from 8am to 10pm. You will be able to use equipment provided by Pelican Landing, except on the weekends from 5pm to 10pm when you must have your own to play. Residents may reserve the courts up to three days in advance or at the Community Center front desk or by calling (239) 947-5977. A valid PLCA ID card must be presented at the Community Center front desk to receive PLCA bocce balls. Participants of the last game of the day must return the PLCA bocce balls by 9:45 p.m. on weekdays and 4:45 p.m. on weekends.

BUTTERFLY GARDEN: The Spring Creek Nature Park and Butterfly Garden is a serene place to relax, enjoy and learn about the marvels of nature, a myriad of butterfly species, birds and native wild plants, as well as a place to meditate, celebrate, educate and dedicate oneself to the joys and awe of nature in Pelican Landing. Every Wednesday from 9am to 11am there is a weekly Garden Gathering. This weekly gathering allows everyone (fellow enthusiasts, master naturalists & master gardeners) a chance to learn more about their native plants & the "flying flowers" they attract. Knowledgeable volunteers provide formal & informal tours of the garden.

CANOE | KAYAK PARK: The Canoe Park on Pelican's Nest Drive includes a launch facility and scenic boardwalk. Canoes and Kayaks are maintained for residents to use on Spring Creek. Scheduled Group paddles are a great way to become familiar with the several trails that are now marked on Spring Creek and are led by an experienced paddler to allow residents to participate in a casual paddle. The PLCA maintains canoe/kayak storage racks for resident-owned paddle craft. Storage is available on an annual basis for a fee. Generally, these paddles take 1 - 2 hours and depart from & return to the Canoe Park, using the Pelican Landing paddle craft.

COMMUNITY CENTER: The community center is a 14,900 square-foot building that houses the Association's Administration Office, Privacy Office, Fitness Center, and meeting/activity rooms. One section of the building contains an area capable of being partitioned into six separate rooms for meetings, classes, activities, and events that can be held simultaneously, if needed. The movable partitions allow for flexibility in accommodating either small or large events. First use of meeting rooms is reserved for the Association's Board of Directors, Design Review Committee (DRC), and Amenity Advisory Groups. The Activities Director is in charge of scheduling a wide variety of activities and social events requested by the residents of Pelican Landing. Use of the Community Center is restricted to Pelican Landing residents and their guests.

FITNESS CENTER: The 3,200 square-foot fitness center, located in the Community Center, offers the opportunity for any resident of Pelican Landing to get fit and stay fit. State-of-the-art Fitness Center equipped with cardiovascular and resistance equipment permitting both aerobic and strength training for a balanced exercise program. A 1,200 square-foot aerobics room is available for various fitness classes. This climate-controlled facility permits exercise regardless of weather conditions. The Fitness Center is a bright and colorful room with many windows and walls fitted with mirrors. Televisions are in the four corners of the facility and a sound system plays background music. The flooring is interlocking black rubber mats permitting the area to be quiet and comfortable.
