Private country clubs are located within many gated communities. Typically, residents of the community have an option to join the club-or not. (i.e. no “bundling”). Many of these clubs also accept non-resident members. It can be expensive to join a private golf club, which usually will charge an initiation or equity fee plus annual dues. The amount of these charges will usually be commensurate with the quality of the golf course(s) and the country club services and amenities. For the passionate golfer, the private club option offers practically unlimited tee times, the ability to form “buddy” groups for regular play, tournaments, invitationals, club championships, and play outstanding golf courses. Some of the popular clubs in the area include, Bonita Bay, Pelican’s Nest, The Colony, Shadow Wood, West Bay Club, Miramar Lakes, Quail West, Quail Creek, Colliers Reserve, Mediterra, Talis Park, Audubon and many more.
